Why Do Victims Stay?

It seems like an innocent question. However, this simple question places blame, fault and sole responsibility on the victim of domestic violence for staying in the abusive relationship.  This is a false belief. No one wants to be abused!! We MUST redirect this question. Instead of asking '"Why does she stay" we need to be asking "Why does he batter? Why does someone hurt the ones they love?
