Come out and celebrate healthy relationships with Haven House during our
14th annual Valentine's Day Dinner & Dance.

Join us on Saturday, February 9th, 2019 at the Elks Lodge,
located at 215 N. Court Street, Circleville, Oh 43113. 
  
We will be on the third floor and there is an elevator for easy access.

There will be a social hour from 6pm - 7pm followed by a delicious dinner and dancing. 
You can choose between chicken and/or beef, vegetable, salad, potatoes and rolls.
There will be soft drinks and a yummy dessert. All served buffet style. 


Tickets are $50.00 per plate or $300.00 per table. Each table seats 8 people. 

Also, we will be having our Silent Auction. All proceeds go to

Church, at the corner of Pickaway and Main Streets, at 10:00 a.m. to proceed at
approximately 10:20 a.m., to the Pickaway County Court House for a short
ceremony to recognize those who have lost their lives to domestic violence and
to celebrate those who have survived.

In Honor of John E. Monce Jr.

John E. Monce Jr., 62, of Circleville, passed away at home on Sept. 3, 2013,
surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.

 He was born May 23, 1951, in Cincinnati, the son of Shirley (Vega) Monce and
the late John E. Monce Sr.


John was a 1974 graduate of The Ohio State University earning a bachelor’s
degree in natural resources. He was a 1977 graduate of The Ohio Peace Officer
Training Academy and a 2001 graduate of Franklin University, earning his
master’s degree in business administration.


John devoted his life to law enforcement and most recently served as a
lieutenant at the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office. He also served as chief of
investigations for the State of Ohio Auditor’s Office from 1995 to 2002 and as
superintendent of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation from 2003 to 2007.


He served on many boards throughout his career, including the Magloclen
Policy Board and the LEADS Steering Committee. He received numerous awards
including the Ohio Attorney General’s Award for Outstanding Contributions to
Community Partnerships for Public Safety and the Ohio Investigators Association
Investigator of the Year Award.


John was a member of Community United Methodist Church, a Haven House Board
member and a member of Circleville Sunrise Rotary. He was a member and Past
Master of Pickaway Lodge No. 23 Free and Accepted Masons, a 32nd degree Mason
Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, and a member of the Pickaway County Shrine
Club. He was extremely active in the Boy Scouts of America in his youth and was
proud to have earned the rank of Eagle Scout.


John is survived by his wife of 41 years, Vivian (Vasil) Monce; daughters,
Kelly Monce of Circleville and Jennifer Monce of Los Angeles, Calif.; mother,
Shirley (Vega) Monce of Tipp City; sister, Donna (Charles) Hormell of Pleasant
Hill; and brother, Jeff Monce of Tipp City. He is also survived by his sisters
and brothers-in-law, Victoria (Edwin) Jirousek of Zoar, William (Patty) Vasil of
North Royalton, Deborah (Mark) Buxton of Worthington, Darlene (Chuck) Nagy of
North Ridgeville, Alfred Vasil of Cleveland and John Vasil of Cleveland; and 16
nieces and nephews.


The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7:30 p.m.
Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Community United Methodist Church, 120 N. Pickaway
St., Circleville. Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, followed by
a Scottish Rite ring ceremony.


Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Community United
Methodist Church with Pastor Barry Burns and Dr. Doyne N. Wiggins officiating. A
procession to Wellman Funeral Home concluding with a 21-gun salute will
follow.


Memorial contributions may be made to Haven House of Pickaway County or
Berger Hospice Care. ~


John was an avid supporter of Haven House and an active  Board Member. 
He will be missed and remembered with  fondness, respect and admiration.
